Ingredients
- Lean ground beef Main Ingredient 1 lb
- Black pepper 1/2 tsp
- Onion 1 small
- Tomato sauce 15 oz can
- Tomatoes 15 oz can
- Water 1 cup
- Oregano 1 tsp
- Basil 1 tsp
- Garlic powder 1/2 tsp
- Egg 1 beaten
- Low-fat cottage cheese 2 cups
- Parmesan cheese 1 cup
- Lasagna noodles 8 oz
- 1 cup shredded Reduced-fat mozzarella cheese

What To Do
Brown meat in a large skillet; drain excess fat.
Add onion and cook until soft.
Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes, water, oregano, basil, garlic powder and black pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and cook gently for 5-10 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Pour sauce into a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, combine egg, Parmesan cheese and cottage cheese.
In skillet, layer the meat sauce, cheese and egg mixture, and lasagna noodles (break noodles if necessary). Repeat layers. Finish with meat sauce. Cover with lid and boil gently 5-10 minutes.
Sprinkle lasagna with shredded cheese.
Cover and simmer 10-15 minutes or until noodles are tender and mixture is bubbling and hot.
Add a little water if mixture gets too thick.
